Obtaining iVocalize

One of the most exciting and unique features of Carroll Tech's instructor led classes are the online audio chat discussions! In order to take part in one of our online chats, you must first meet our hardware requirements (a dual channel soundcard, which comes standard on almost all PC's, and a microphone if you wish to contribute to the audio chat), and install the iVocalize plug-in for Internet Explorer. If you would like to learn more about obtaining and installing the iVocalize chat software, please view the obtaining and installing iVocalize tutorial video.

Using iVocalize

Installing the iVocalize chat software is the first step in getting hooked up and participating in an online classroom chat session. We at Carroll Tech feel that the online chat process adds a human touch to the distance learning program and creates a sense of community and camaraderie in the classroom. In order to actively participate in our audio chat sessions, there are a few features of iVocalize that we would like to go over with you to help you get the most out of these chat sessions.
