Privacy Policy

We want to make your experience here at Caroll Tech as easy and worry-free as possible. We care about your privacy and are committed to ensure that your personal information is protected.

What information do you collect and how do you use it?

When you sign up to become a member, we only ask for the most basic information (a username, email and password) in order to create a private member account for you. Email addresses are required so that we may have a convenient way to contact you if you forget your username and password. Your email address will never be given to a third party, or sold to anyone. NEVER! In fact, we will never use this address ourselves unless you specifically sign up for one of our newsletters, or request support using our support form.

If you decide to take one of our classes, you are effectively a student of The Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, MA. (even though you may actually live half-way around the globe!). As a student, we will ask you to submit some more personal information for records we are legally obligated to keep for all our active students. In addition, we may collect some demographic information such as your age, your employment status, or your degree of blindness. This information is collected for general demographic use and never tied to your personal records.

We use this information to measure our effectiveness and to better understand the demand for our services so that we may continually increase the positive impact our site has on the blindness community.

Are you sure you won't sell my information?

We're positive! We will not sell, rent or trade your personal information without your express permission - ever.

If there's anything about our privacy policy that you're unsure about or need us to clarify then please contact us.
